Long Live The King

Influence Music

We captured “Long Live the King” at The Grove in Anaheim, CA to a nearly sold out audience. Influence Music was joined by special guests Mack Brock, Kim Walker-Smith, and Lindy Cofer to record 12 new tracks for this album.  Like many of the other live albums I produce, the final product is relatively overdub free. It’s truly a “live” album.

This album took a handful of songs from Influence Music’s previous album “Before the Breakthrough” and added 8 more new songs — the highlight being the title track “Long Live the King”.  I linked up with the artist known as “Lapeer” to write this song, with the idea of the song starting with Lapeer himself. He and I worked on the song for quite some time and decided we should try and finish it by bringing on the vocalist we hoped would sing it to help us wrap it up. Matt Gilman jumped in, and the rest is history!  Truly a team effort.

I love working with Influence Music.

Well done, everyone.
