My Heart Wants You is the first single released from a 10-12 song collection with Mountain People Worship out of Greenville, TN. Mountain People Worship’s music is a blend of Appalachian sounds, Folk, Rock, and worship… A quite eclectic fusion. 

I first met Able Carrico of Mountain People Worship at a coffee shop in Greenville in the late spring of 2022. I was so impressed by all of this work - not just in music, but in ministry. Abel and his wife Nicole are pastors of The Rock Church, but they are also working full time for Holston Home United Methodist Children’s Home caring for orphaned kids who are so abused they aren’t quite able to handle foster care. Abel is chaplain of 5 jails. He and Nicole plant churches in trailer parks (incredible testimonies out of this stuff!). They run an equine therapy program out of Holston, they adopted a 13 year old son when they were only 21 themselves and newly weds…  And most recently they are starting Mountain People Recovery, a drug addiction recovery program for men.  The list goes on and on. Abel and Nicole, and the whole Mountain People Worship team, are doing the true work of the Gospel.
